About
In 1906, the daughter of a wealthy entrepreneur, Barbara, renounces her posh upbringing with plans to commit herself to a life of poverty. She joins the Salvation Army as a platform to save souls and to help the downtrodden and outcast. Father and daughter clash as Barbara strives to save her father from capitalistic tyranny and in turn he tries to save her from her ideologies. But just who needs saving? This classic bittersweet comedy pits father against daughter and power against poverty.
