This is perhaps the world’s most popular comic opera, based on the second of Beaumarchais’ Figaro trilogy. It recounts the day that Figaro, who is now Count Almaviva’s personal servant, is marrying his beloved Susanna. It turns out, though, that Count Almaviva has his own eyes on Susanna. At the end of a “day of madness” and multiple manipulations by everybody, the Count is tricked into courting his own wife.
